Call Of Duty Warzone: Season 5 Trailer Reveals New Faction, Shadow Company

A trailer for the fifth season of Call Of Duty: Warzone has been released. The teaser confirms the August 5 release date, following weeks of rumors and leaks. As the title of the trailer reads, a new group calling themselves the Shadow Company will be making their mark within the battle royale’s next season.

The trailer reveals that Armistice, an alliance led by Modern Warfare’s lead protagonist, Captain Price, a collective of Coalition and Allegiance factions is no more. Following the collapse of the treaty, a voice-over coldly announces that chaos has set in.

Now, the Shadow Company is taking control, a splinter group “formed without compromise, ready to take the war directly to Mr. Z and into Verdansk and deal with terrorist threats directly.”

According to a post via the Activision Blog, Shadow Company “operates outside the boundaries of the original Armistice.” The post goes on to say: “forged from the fires of in-fighting between the Coalition and the Allegiance, Shadow Company has a framework and agenda all of their own.”

There’s been no word yet on a Season 5 Battle Pass, or in regards to new content. Less than a week remains for the current Season 4 pass.

However, there is a particular focus on the map’s stadium and the nuclear weapon inside a bunker within Verdansk. A recent teaser sent to streamer Tyler Polchow strongly suggested the use of a nuke within the Warzone map. The footage presents grainy security footage of a lounge inside the stadium before a white light washes across the screen, and the camera cuts out.

Twitch streamer NICKMERCS was recently given an exclusive sneak preview of what’s to come from the fifth season of Call Of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone. The teaser, reported by Charlie Intel, is short and grainy at best but leaves us in little doubt that Season 5 will feature loot trains.
