Canceled Black Ops 4 Campaign Gameplay Leaked On Reddit

In 2017, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was launched. Breaking a franchise tradition, the fourth installment did not include a single-player campaign mode and instead focused on multiplayer.

It was a radical move from the developers, made even more bizarre by Activision and Treyarch’s decision to represent the abandoned campaign mode in the form of a 10-page issue comic series. With time, most moved on from Black Ops 4 and the absence of a single-player campaign mode. Yet now, a Reddit leak posted has revealed footage of an alleged campaign mission from Black Ops 4.

As part of a larger, unknown story, the objective of the mission is to track down the Aquilus CEO, all the while eliminating terrorists and avoiding innocent civilians. The Reddit user, ForeverDexus, claimed to have discovered the material online in an “incredibly obscure” place.

At the same time, the user discovered the second piece of pre-alpha Black Ops 4 engine footage.

The level takes place on a multiplayer map, Seaside, and appears to have been pulled from an earlier version of the game during development, considering the color of the NPCs (they seem a bit blue). So, all in all, this footage gives us a little insight into what might have been, if the campaign mode had existed.

Recently, a Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare player encountered a rather bizarre glitch that rendered their character in third-person. Following a revive in PS4’s exclusive survival mode, the player, and Redditor Tkade14 encountered the glitch.

Tkade14 is seen in a short clip below running throughout the Shoot House map. Tkade14 said, “Once I was revived, it didn’t go back to first-person.” The short clip lasts less than a minute and shows the Reddit user cutting down NPCs with a knife.
