CyberConnect2 Shares More Details on Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2

CyberConnect2 has revealed another wave of information on Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2, the upcoming sequel to the original 2021 action-RPG.

Gematsu has reported on several new details shared on the upcoming game, including more information on the battle system, characters, in-game mechanics, and story.

The first bit of information focuses on a new character, Count Nouvellune. This mysterious masked character is introduced to the story in Chapter 2 and delivers the latest issues of The Adventures of Sucre to the children. His look is modeled after the character of the same from said comic, but his greater role in the story as of now is unknown.

More screenshots of the game were also shared, including the beautifully hand-drawn Story Chapter End Cards that appear at the end of each chapter, of which there are 11. The original game had 12 chapters.

CyberConnect2 also shared more information on Intermission. Intermissions occur during chapters in-between certain battles, and allow players to interact with other children on the Tarascus tank.

These interactions can be used to increase the affinity of the children with one another, and expand various facilities to make the tank stronger and more efficient. Action Points (AP) will be consumed to complete these tasks. Increasing the affinity between children has the benefit of making their support effects in battle stronger.

Reaching specific affinity levels will also trigger link event, which will give that pair of children access to a link attack, giving them a greater edge in battle.

Some of the facilities that can be upgraded in Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 include the Workshop, where you can strengthen the tank’s weapons and armor; and Scrap Fishing, where you can fish for various items to use for those upgrades!

There is a Notebook that players can check to get an idea of each of the children’s wishes. Granting a child’s wish will make them more energetic and ready for battle by giving them a greater chance to activate their Hero Mode.

Hero Mode lasts for five turns and gives each child a unique and powerful ability to turn the tide of any battle.

Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 is set to release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC on May 11. Are you looking forward to the game? Let us know in the comments below!
