Free-to-play juggernaut Fortnite’s brand new Party Royale mode takes away the competition and battles and replaces them with music, movies, games, crazy costumes, and anything else you could possibly need to have the world’s coolest party. Officially launched by Epic Games in April, Party Royale is a nonviolent island used to feature exciting events such as digital concerts.
Party Royale Island is the perfect place to virtually hang out with your friends and family while you’re physically separated due to COVID-19 quarantine. The new mode has also attracted plenty of talent, with musicians deadmau5, Dillon Francis, and Steve Aoki performing at the premiere.
The next concert, Diplo Presents: Thomas Wesley, will be live in Party Royale on Thursday, June 25, beginning at 9 p.m. ET. The musician will perform songs from his latest album, “Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley Chapter 1: Snake Oil,” which dropped on May 29. Also performing during this event will be special guests Young Thug and Noah Cyrus.
On Friday, June 26, Fortnite players will have a chance to visit Party Royale to watch one of three full-length movies directed by Christopher Nolan. Films being shown will vary according to country. Players in the United States can experience three showings of Inception, beginning at 8 a.m., 8 p.m., and 11:55 p.m. Other countries may be showing The Prestige or Batman Begins. This is not the first collaboration between Christopher Nolan and Epic Games, as he used Fortnite to reveal a trailer for his upcoming film Tenet. Fans excitedly await what the film director might bring to Fortnite next.
