Disney Dreamlight Valley’s latest update focuses on the Orb of Remembrance in the Forgotten Land biome, which needs to be restored to its rightful place. Unfortunately, at the conclusion of the previous Story Quest, the Forgotten steals the Orb and disappears. To help figure out where the Forgotten has fled, the wise wizard Merlin suggests that the player search the Valley for objects relevant to The Forgotten’s childhood in order to learn more about them. This guide will help you locate each of the Forgotten Relics and identify the correct Valley residents to talk to to learn their stories, getting you one step closer to stopping the Forgotten for good!
Forgotten Relics: The Storybook
The Forgotten Storybook is the first of the Forgotten Relics to appear in Dreamlight Valley. After finding the Storybook, you can locate the other items in the order of your choosing, but this one must be claimed first. Talk to Merlin and then head to Mickey’s House to find the Forgotten Storybook on the floor. You will be able to recognize it due to its distinctive glow!
With the Storybook in your inventory, talk to Merlin. He will suggest asking Mickey about the Storybook’s relevance. Locate Mickey and talk to him until he shares the story of the book’s origins. This will complete the first part of the quest. Then, Merlin will ask you to look for other parts of the Valley strongly affected by dark magic to find the other three Relics.
Forgotten Relics: Beach Toys
First, head to the Dazzle Beach biome and locate the Cursed Cave on the far left underneath the cliffs. (This is the cave where you rescued the villainous Ursula earlier in the game’s story.) There is a large scar from dark magic above the cave entrance, indicating that this area is one that needs exploring. Enter the cave to find glowing Forgotten Beach Toys on the ground.
Find Ursula and ask her about the toys in her cave. (If she’s not in her House, Ursula teleports between the various bodies of water in the Valley, such as the river in the Glade of Trust, the ponds in the Peaceful Meadow, and the ocean). She doesn’t know, but suggests you talk to Moana instead. Find Moana and interact with her to get the final story on the beach toys and complete this part of the quest.
Forgotten Relics: The Blanket
Now, head north to the Frosted Heights biome and travel to the northeastern rock wall where you found Olaf inside of a Secret Chamber. You will notice the scars of Dark Magic on the outside of the Chamber’s door, indicating another location that you need to check.
Enter the Chamber and look around on the floor for a glowing Forgotten Blanket. Unlike the other locations, there are several decoy items – glowing books – scattered around. If you accidentally pick up any of these instead, simply sell them to Goofy at any of his Stall locations in the Valley.
Because Olaf was found in the Chamber, you need to talk to him first. Unfortunately, the cheerful snowman doesn’t know anything and suggests that you instead talk to Elsa, who made the blanket. The ice queen does know, luckily, so simply talk to Elsa to bring this part of the quest to a close.
Forgotten Relics: The Drawing
Finally, to locate the last Relic, journey to the Sunlit Plateau and enter Scar’s Lair in the Elephant Graveyard. Once again, Dark Magic has infected this location, meaning that a Relic is likely to be found here. However, unlike the other Relics, you need to have reached level 10 Friendship with Scar before this item will spawn.
Inside, on the floor of the notorious villain’s domain, is…a cute child’s drawing of Scar? That’s right, the adorable Forgotten Drawing can be found here! Find Scar and ask him why he has such a cute Drawing in his lair. Reluctantly, Scar will admit that it is a drawing of him made by the Forgotten, and that he has kept it because it is somewhat charming. Aww, he does have a heart after all!
Now that you’ve located all four Forgotten Relics and extracted their stories, return to Merlin to report your progress. Merlin will then tell you that you have learned enough about The Forgotten to track them down, which will begin the next Story Quest, The Dark Castle.
