Simba is one of Disney’s most famous fictional characters, and this King of Pride Rock recently made his way to Gameloft’s life simulation game, Disney Dreamlight Valley. The game recently got its Pride of the Valley major update, adding the Lion King realm to Disney Dreamlight Valley. With that, Simba has finally become one of the NPCs that you can bring over to Dreamlight Valley, ending the wait of many Lion King fans.
Raising friendship with Simba in Disney Dreamlight Valley can give you multiple benefits, including access to new locations, cosmetics, quests, and more. But since he is a new addition to the game, you’ve got to unlock him first! Some players might find unlocking this powerful lion a bit tricky. Well, if you are one of those players, keep reading our guide to learn how to unlock Simba in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How To Unlock Simba in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To unlock Simba in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you must access the Lion King realm via the Dream Castle and complete his initial questline, Stars to Guide Us.
To get started, enter the Dream Castle and unlock the Lion King realm using 10,000 Dreamlight. Once done, enter the realm to trigger the series of quests that will eventually help you bring Simba back to Dreamlight Valley.
As soon as you enter the Lion King realm, the ‘Eyes in the Dark‘ questline will start, directing you to welcome Nala, another NPC from Simba’s realm, to the Valley. As you finish this quest, the final questline needed to unlock Simba, ‘Stars to Guide Us,‘ will start.
In the Stars to Guide Us questline, you need to gather some necessary items. When you head back to Simba’s realm after dropping Nala in Dreamlight Valley, Merlin will ask you to make Rafiki’s Walking Stick, which is the only medium to bring back the lost memories of Simba and remove the clouds from his mind. Below is the list of materials needed to craft this stick:
- 5 Softwood (Found on the ground in Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, Forest of Valor, and Glade of Trust biomes)
- 5 Fiber (Crafted from Seaweed, which can be fished from any body of water)
- 2 Purified Night Shards (Crafted using 5 Night Shards and 1 Dream Shard)
Once crafted, place the Staff in front of Simba and wait for a short cutscene. From there, Simba will remember everything he had forgotten. But your task is not done yet, as now Simba will request you to remove the Oasis that has been preventing his livelihood for a long time. You need to collect some seeds here, mainly 3 Jungle Fern seeds, 3 Waterfall Plant seeds, and 3 Clearing Tree seeds, to initiate the second leg of the task.
Plant the seeds in the Oasis area and water them until they mature. Lastly, you need to free the water source by removing the rocks that behold the water flow, which you can do with your Pickaxe. Once that, you can welcome Simba to Disney Dreamlight Valley!
