EA Announces The Sims 4 Paranormal Stuff Pack

It is going to be Halloween in January with Electronic Arts’ latest release, The Sims 4 Paranormal Stuff Pack. The pack introduces Haunted House Lots, so you may not be the only one living in your new humble abode.

Players can either try to appease the spirits or leave them to their poltergeist antics. There are a lot of new activities being introduced with this stuff pack, including seances and communicating with the dead. On top of this, players can now build up their Medium skill and obtain Paranormal Investigator Licenses to conduct visits to rid households of pesky specters.

Deja Vu to The Sims 3 anyone? Fans will recall the Ghost Hunter profession from The Sims 3 Ambitions expansion pack. So it could be that EA is doing a bit of a mash-up of The Sims 3 Ambitions and The Sims 3 Supernatural for the new stuff pack.

The Sims 4 Paranormal Stuff Pack Announcement

The trailer featured a whole new added ghost design compared to what The Sims fans are used to, opting for something super cutesy instead this time around. However, “normal” ghosts are still in the game.

The Sims 4 Paranormal Stuff also appears to be reintroducing the creepy character Bonehilda, the skeletal maid. Bonehilda first made her appearance in The Sims Makin’ Magic and didn’t make a reappearance until nearly 10 years later in The Sims 3: Supernatural. Bonehilda’s cameo was in the background of a brief clip in the trailer, but fan reaction has been positive to her return!

As with most The Sims stuff packs, you will receive a bunch of new furniture and building designs, as well as new clothes and hairstyles for a ghoulish makeover. The pack requires The Sims 4 base game to play it.

The Sims 4 Paranormal Stuff will be released on January 26 2021 on Origin, Steam, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
