Famitsu Sales: Super Mario Party Jamboree Makes Return To #1

Every Thursday we share the weekly Famitsu sales charts, which tracks physical boxed game sales and hardware sales in Japan. This week’s chart covers Mar. 31 – Apr. 6, as Super Mario Party Jamboree makes a surprise return to the top spot, almost six months on from its release. The timing coincides with the reveal of the Switch 2 Edition of the game, which will come with bonus minigames and features. Perhaps some are choosing to invest early, or maybe it sold an additional 11,000 units this week because it’s just a great game!

Second place this week goes to Monster Hunter Wilds, the second and last game this week managing to sell over 10,000 copies. After three weeks on the chart, Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition slipped down to #3, pushing an additional 8,000 copies sold and nudging its physical sales total to almost 98,000 units sold in the past few weeks. There are no new entries on the chart this week, with the rest of the list being a showcase of Nintendo’s evergreen Switch releases. We can’t wait to see which Switch 2 releases become immovable forces on the Famitsu chart!
