Famitsu: Tears Of The Kingdom Rules, Atelier Marie Remake Debuts

Every Thursday we share the weekly Famitsu sales charts, which tracks physical boxed game sales and hardware sales in Japan. This week’s chart covers July 10 – 16, as The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom continues its reign at #1. The latest entry in the legendary series sold an additional 18,000 copies, in what was a relatively smaller week than the past few that saw the release and drop-off of Final Fantasy XVI.

There are two new entries on this week’s chart, with Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg charting on both Nintendo Switch and PS5, and action RPG Touhou: New World making a chart debut with its Switch release. When combining the different platform sales of the remade Atelier Marie: The Alchemist of Salburg, it does actually shift enough units this week to unseat Tears of the Kingdom. Unfortunately however, sales are separated by platform, giving Zelda the crown yet again.

Atelier Marie Remake Alchemist of Salburg
The remake of 1997’s Atelier Marie: The Alchemist of Salburg sold a combined 21,000 copies across platforms.
