Gravity Rush 2 Could Be Coming To PlayStation 5 and PC

The Gravity Rush series is widely considered to be a cult classic by many of its fans, and we could see a return of the series if these new rumors are to be believed. Insider rumors suggest that Sony may be planning on bringing Gravity Rush 2 to the PlayStation 5, as well as a PC release.

For those who are unfamiliar with the series, Gravity Rush first made its debut on the PS Vita in 2012 and followed the story of a gravity shifter known as Kat as she explored the floating city of Hekseville. The game garnered a small but dedicated following, and we soon got a sequel in 2017 for the PlayStation 4. This time around, we would see the return of Kat as well as her partner, Raven, and these two gravity shifters would explore a new region, Jirga Para Lao. Despite its large cult following, the series struggled commercially and we haven’t seen anything new from the series aside from the PS4 remaster of the first Gravity Rush.

However, things seem like they are about to change for the series. According to a post made by Reddit user Pomarancza123PL in the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, we may have insider confirmation that Sony Plans on bringing the series to the PlayStation 5 as well as PC. The insider in question is none other than Orangee, who has in the past shared information about the in-production Gravity Rush movie adaptation (confirmed during Sony’s 2024 CES presentation).

Orangee believes that we will receive an official announcement of a Gravity Rush 2 remaster as early as May 2024, with the game initially aiming for a summer release. The remaster will supposedly feature a few tweaks to the original’s online mode and a new photo mode. As with all rumors, it should be taken with a grain of salt, but if what Orangee is saying proves to be true, then Gravity Rush 2 receiving a remaster and PC port does line up with Sony’s recent trend of bringing their first-party games to other platforms.
