Just when you think Arrowhead Studios has added all they can to Helldivers 2, they drop a new feature like it’s nothing. In the most recent update for Helldivers 2, the game has received several changes to weapons and overall gameplay balancing, but that’s not the most notable change made to the game. Along with all these much-appreciated changes comes the addition of planetary hazards such as Fire Tornadoes.
Players will encounter these new destructive hindrances during their deployment onto a planet. While fire tornadoes are the most notable, they aren’t the only hazard to be encountered; the patch notes mention meteor showers as well. The addition of these planetary hazards should keep players on their toes and test how well they can adapt to a situation.
Aside from new challenges posed by environmental hazards, Eradicate Missions have also been made more challenging as both the difficulty and duration of these missions have been increased. Arrowhead has also made several changes to certain support, secondary and primary weapons, all focusing on maintaining gameplay balance. Weapons such as the Breaker, Railgun, Flamethrower, Laser Cannon, and Punisher have had changes made to their damage, armor penetration and magazine size.
These are just some of the many updates made to Helldivers 2, but Arrowhead Studios has made several smaller changes, too. If you are interested and would like to look at the full list of changes made to the game, you can find them listed on the official Helldivers 2 Steam page.
