HBO’s The Last Of Us is less than two months away from its premiere date, and in the lead-up to the series debut, the network has released a wave of character posters for the core cast, kindly assembled into one image by The Last Of Us HBO – Status Twitter page, as linked below.

We’ve all seen the teaser trailer and promotional images (unless you’ve been living under a rock for months), so we’ve become acquainted with Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey’s Joel and Ellie respectively. Each character is captioned with a single line to summarise their significance within the story. For example, Joel is described as “the protector,” and Ellie is deemed “the last hope.”

Now we turn our focus to the other members of the cast, many of whom we’ve yet to see in the flesh since their casting in the series. These include Henry and Sam, played by Lamar Johnson and Keivonn Woddard respectively. Termed simply as each other’s big and little brothers, the two meet with Joel and Ellie halfway through the story as they attempt to escape a city under the control of dangerous survivors.

The character poster also teases our first proper look at Merle Dandridge’s Firefly, Marlene, otherwise known as “the leader,” who reprises her role as the same character in The Last of Us game. Also featured is Joel’s daughter Sarah, played by Nico Parker, and Murray Bartlett’s Frank. The Australian actor has been described as “the optimist” to Bill’s grumpy “survivalist,” played by Nick Offerman.

The Last Of Us premieres on HBO from Jan. 15, 2023. For more The Last Of Us content, you can take a look at our review for The Last Of Us Part I. Finally, be sure to your eyes on GameLuster for more of the latest gaming news and media coverage.
