Hogwarts Legacy Delayed (Again) To 2023, Release Date Set

The highly anticipated Harry Potter action RPG, Hogwarts Legacy, has been delayed once again. The good news is that we now have an official release date. Originally scheduled for late 2022, Hogwarts Legacy has set its release date for Feb. 10, 2023.

Interestingly, this announcement does not include a launch date for the Nintendo Switch version. While the reasons for this are all just speculative at present, it’s likely the Switch port of the game will require further development work. We saw similar delays from other AAA Switch titles, like Doom Eternal.

Hogwarts Legacy was originally set for a 2021 release, after its 2020 announcement.

Delays are always disappointing, but they are worth it if it means we can expect a higher quality release. Don’t worry, we’re not going to use that quote from Shigeru Miyamoto today. We’ll save that for when Breath of the Wild 2 is delayed into the next century.
