Announced at today’s Nintendo Direct presentation, an Expansion Pass is coming to Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity this year, and will feature two waves of content available for pre-order from May 28. Both expansions will cost players $20, and will feature two bonus costumes for Link to wear.
The first expansion is scheduled for June, and will expand the roster of characters available for use, as well as adding new weapon types and enemies to freshen up gameplay. This content package will also add new challenges in the Royal Ancient Lab.
In November, players will be able to get their hands on the second expansion pack, which will further expand the game’s roster of characters, while also adding additional skills for characters already in the game. And, there will be a number of new stages to tackle as well, although there seems to be no new story content coming in either this expansion or the first.
For those confused about what exactly Age of Calamity is, its a musou action game in the same style as the Dynasty Warriors series and the original Hyrule Warriors game. This game, as well as the first, were developed by Nintendo in partnership with Koei Tecmo. The game launched in 2020 for the Nintendo Switch.
