Infinity Ward Patch Notes: JAK-12 Fixes & Durable Masks Gone

Infinity Ward has released the latest patch notes for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone. It’s a small update this time, with a series of general fixes and some slight amendments to the JAK-12.

As some may remember, the JAK-12 shotgun was secretly added into Modern Warfare & Warzone a while ago, requiring three shotgun kills to claim, or 1100 COD Points from the store for those less skilled (unfortunately, I’m one of them) at racking up enough kills in matches.

The ADS speed and movement of the JAK-12’s drum mags have been reduced, as well as the shotgun’s rate of fire with its FRAG-12 ammo, while an update for the ammo’s description, with the FRAG-12 ammo, now terms them as slugs.

Onto the more general changes, a fix has been issued for a non-functioning code in Bunker 3, as well as fix a problem with the riot shield that occurred when players obtained a pumpkin head with three or more kills. There’s also a fix for an exploit found within Zombie Royale.

Elsewhere, Durable Gas Masks have been temporarily removed from Warzone, and Snipers Only (TDM) has been replaced with Gunfight – Snipers Only (3v3), while the studio work on a bug for the former mode.

As for the future of the Call of Duty series, a launch trailer for Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was released, featuring everything from dune buggies in the desert to snowmobiles in combat, iconic characters including Woods, Mason, and Hudson, and a global conspiracy that threatens to influence the outcome of the Cold War.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be released on November 13, 2020, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, serving as a sequel to 2010’s Black Ops
