Marvel Rivals Adding Limited-Time Big Head Mode, For Some Reason

Marvel Rivals is known for their exaggerated character designs, but they’re taking it to a whole new level with their latest event. The limited-time Giant-Size Brain Blast is a new competitive 6v6 game mode where players have to score eliminations, build up their points and the first team that gets a certain amount of points before time runs out wins. Yes, it’s just the Conquest game mode, but for some reason everyone will have giant heads!

Performing well will reward the player, as obtaining a score within a certain threshold on the leaderboard will unlock new player title rewards. Being in the Top 500 of a certain hero will get you the ‘Giant-Sized-Brain’ title, whilst Top 100 earns you ‘Monster-Sized-Brain’ and securing a top 10 spot gets you the ultimate ‘Planet-Sized-Brain’ title. It’s silly, but it’ll be a fun way to flex your skills with each hero.

Players can claim an emote to make their favorite Marvel Rivals character’s heads massive – but be careful, you only get one!

Completing 10 rounds of the Giant-Size Brain Blast mode will also allow players to redeem one singular permanent Brain Blast emote, where even in standard Marvel Rivals games you can make your head turn comedically large. You only get one, so choose carefully which hero you’d like to show off your big brain for. This announcement also coincides with a new behind-the-scenes web series showcasing how Marvel Rivals got its unique art style and design approach – which you can check out right here if you’re interested.
