The second season of the hugely successful Marvel Rivals is set to launch on April 11, and the details are pouring in from developers NetEase as we get closer to launch. Perhaps the most exciting is the confirmation of the two new playable characters dropping this season, with Emma Frost releasing at launch, and Ultron set to come midway through the Hellfire Gala-focused season. A gameplay trailer has already been released for the White Queen of Marvel, showcasing her new abilities and striking character design.
Not only will there be new characters, we’ll also be getting two new maps! Only one of these has been shown at present, being the Krakoa map, the heart of the Hellfire Gala with an incredibly vibrant art style. The season will also bring new Team-Up abilities, provide buffs and nerfs to many characters, and of course come with a wealth of new cosmetics.
We’ve yet to see them in-game, but the full trailer for Marvel Rivals Season 2 shows a bunch of heroes dressed for a party, with at least some likely being Battle Pass skins given their use of the Hellfire Gala theme. We’ve also seen an earnable Scarlet Witch ‘Chaos Gown’ skin that will be available for all players, as well as a purchasable X-Revolution skin for Emma Frost inspired by her Uncanny X-Men appearance.
