We’ve been waiting and it’s finally here – Sony just announced that State of Play, their flagship live video event full of gaming reveals and announcements, will return tomorrow – February 12! The State of Play will run for over 40 minutes, entirely focused on news, updates and reveals for PlayStation 5 games. It’s been a while since the last event, last September to be exact, so we’re thrilled with this announcement.
As mentioned earlier, the event is February 12 (tomorrow at time of writing), airing at 2PM PT, which is 5PM ET, 10PM GMT, and 11PM CET. You can click right here to open our countdown we made for the event, if you’re unsure exactly what time the State of Play will be airing in your region. The State of Play will be airing on YouTube and Twitch, and is broadcast in both English or Japanese.
As for what exactly we can expect to see during the State of Play we’re currently unsure, outside of the promised 40+ minutes of content on PS5 games. The description of the event doesn’t mention PSVR 2 in any capacity, so expect the event to be light on Sony’s VR content, if there’s any at all. We’re sure that as we get closer to the event we’ll likely see at least some things leaking online, so if you want to go in spoiler-free now’s your chance to start muting certain words or avoiding social media! Thankfully, it won’t be a long wait.
