Metroid Prime Federation Force has been announced for the Nintendo 3DS

A new and definintly unexpected entry in the Metroid series was announced today during the Nintendo Digital Event. You may remember during the game awards when Nintendo announced Blast Ball, what makes this interesting is that game was only a small part of something much bigger. Metroid was today announced for the Nintendo 3DS in a game set in the Prime universe titled Metroid Prime Federation Force, this game is a competitive multiplayer focused game being handled by Next Level Games. In this game you team up with up to three other players to battle enemies, also announced was Metroid Prime Blast Ball which is a 3 vs 3 futuristic sports game where you fight to put the ball in the goal. This is different and unexpected so it should keep Metroid fans happy.
