Microsoft Rewards Program Is Getting Even More Changes

For quite a while, Xbox has been making several changes and improvements to the Microsoft Rewards Program to create a more rewarding environment, and it looks like a whole new variety of changes are coming. Xbox has confirmed that the adjustments being made to Microsoft Rewards Program will include a more streamlined user experience, as well as adjustments to how members of the program can earn points.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of this overhaul due to rumors circulating as early January 2023, with Xbox Insider Shpesal Nick sharing rumors of the upcoming overhaul. Now, with the major rework being confirmed via a recent tweet, what will happen to the old Microsoft Rewards Program? Xbox has confirmed that on 15 April, Xbox Rewards Hub’s new Weekly Bonus will be taking the place of the Microsoft Rewards app’s Weekly Sets and Weekly Streaks. These bonuses will reward players for continually playing games over the course of a week.

While these new weekly rewards are a major change, they are not the only thing Xbox has in store. According to a statement from Microsoft that was given to Pure Xbox, Microsoft will apparently be testing new “experiments” for the reward program and that these will most likely be taking place over the next few months. From what we know, many of these experiments are in regards to different ways that players will be able earn and redeem points from playing. As of writing, players are only able to earn points by playing games on either their Xbox Console or Xbox app for PC. However, do keep in mind that this new system is far from perfect and there are a few kinks that need to be ironed out.
