Among the announcement of Hyrule Warriors Legends it was revealed that Tetra and the King of the Red Lions would be making their debut in the game, this reveal got people thinking and questioning what other characters might be in store, or will this be all for new characters in the new game. In an interview with Famitsu, producer of the game Yosuke Hayashi suggests that there just might be more characters in the works for the 3DS game as he discusses the inclusion of Tetra and the King of Hyrule:
I can’t go into details yet, but we plan to add new character(s) [can mean one or several] other than Tetra and King of Hyrule. There are fan favorites and surprising characters in the game, so I’d be happy if you kept guessing who will join the fight while waiting for follow-up information.
Personally if they try to go for more new characters from Wind Waker I seriously hope to see Medli make an appearance as a fighter, anything is possible.
