MultiVersus Closes Down Today, And You Need To Act Fast To Keep It

What was once considered to be a fierce Super Smash Bros. rival is soon to be a mere memory, as platform-fighter MultiVersus shuts down its service and is delisted todayMultiVersus is set to be terminated at 9 AM PT, that’s 12PM ET, 5 PM BST or 6 PM CEST. Once it’s delisted, the game will also go offline for almost all players – but not for you if you act quick enough.

MultiVersus will remain playable in an offline state, but only to those who have logged in since just before Season 5 started on Feb. 4. As long as players have logged on at any point between then and now before the game is delisted, you’ll be able to keep the game offline with all content you’ve previously earned or purchased. You can no longer make any more in-game purchases, and no refunds are available for those who already did buy the Gleamium currency.

Multiversus Stage
The Smash Bros. style fighter MultiVersus has only been around in its full launch state for a year.

You’ve got a little over an hour from when this article is published to get yourself logged in to MultiVersus and claim your right to keep the game offline. Even though it won’t be as active or rewarding as it may once have been, at least you’ll have the right to keep playing the game before it’s removed from digital game stores forever. It’s sad to see MultiVersus be taken down after less than three years since its beta, and only one year on from its full release. We’ll miss you, Reindog.

Did you play MultiVersus, and will you be logging on to keep your game available offline? Did you already do so before today? Let us know all your thoughts in the comments down below, and keep your eyes on GameLuster for more breaking gaming news.
