The two novels based on NeiR: Automata, "Long Story Short" and "Short Story Long," have been announced for release in North America.
The first of the two novels, "Long Story Short," is set to release on October 9th. "Long Story Short" is a novelization of NeiR: Automata, and expands on the game's story. The paperback will cost $14.99, and will be published by Viz Media.
"Short Story Long" will release in Spring 2019. The book is a collection of short stories and novellas set in the world of NieR: Automata. Based on the Japanese release, "Short Story Long" will feature two original stories: "Emil's Recollection" and "YoRHa Ver. 1.05." It will also include five previously released stories: "The Flame of Prometheus," "Orbital Bunker Observation Diary," Memory Thorn," "A Much Too Silent Sea," and "Small Flowers."
Both books were penned by novelist Jun Eishima and NeiR creator Yoko Taro.
NeiR: Automata is available now for PC and PlayStation 4. The game recently released on the Xbox One as the Become As Gods Edition. This version came with both the game and the DLC expansion, and other various in-game items.
