New Helldivers 2 Update Increases Level Cap And Adds New Hazards

Fans of the increasingly popular Helldivers 2 are in for a treat today, as a new patch drop for the game has drastically increased the level cap. The level cap for players has been increased from 50 to 150, a whopping three times what it was earlier, giving the Helldivers much more room to grow as they spread democracy and liberty – through epic combat and massive explosions!

Not only do fans of Helldivers 2 now have more room to grow as they conquer the galaxy, they also have new threats heading their way to try and stop the awesome spread of liberation. This isn’t coming in the form of new enemies in the latest patch, but rather from the planets themselves. Two new planetary hazards have been added to Helldivers 2, in the form of blizzards and sandstorms. Freeing the galaxy is a lot more difficult when you’re getting frozen solid.

Sometimes the biggest obstruction to freedom is the weather, as new planetary hazards are added to Helldivers 2.

Besides from these significant additions, the latest patch also sees a bunch of fixes delivered for a host of minor issues, as well as some balancing tweaks to missions, operation modifiers, weapons and enemies. Perhaps the most notable weapon change is that done to the Arc Thrower, which had its distance significantly reduced to 35m, from its former 50m. However, it does have an increased stagger force now too.
