A brand new digital showcase event has just been announced, created by Taylor Hoyt of The Gaming Shelf over on YouTube. Whilst there are plenty of indie gaming showcase events around, the newly announced ‘Indie Quest’ has a twist – it’s almost entirely dedicated to indie JRPG games! Set to debut on May 29, Indie Quest will showcase over 40 new game trailers, including one from a “critically-acclaimed studio”.
The new gaming showcase event will have every game being introduced by a YouTube creator, uplifting not just the indie developers and their JRPG projects, but also the content creators on YouTube that tend to be a key source for many of us when it comes to getting new game recommendations. With so many new games being showcased, that’s a lot of YouTube creators we’ll be expecting to see when the event premieres later this month.
The description of the event from its reveal trailer specifies that Indie Quest will celebrate “the full spectrum of what modern Indie JRPGs can be”, with everything “from tactical throwbacks to inventive turn-based experiments” set to be featured. If you’re interested in checking Indie Quest out for yourself and seeing what new indie JRPGs have to offer, it’s set to air on May 29 at 4 PM PT, that’s 7 PM ET, 12 AM BST or 1 AM CEST, over on The Gaming Shelf’s YouTube channel.
