Patch 1.4 has just been released for The Last of Us Part II Remastered‘s PC release, and it’s a big update for those looking for better visuals and better performance. This is thanks to NVIDIA DLSS 4, which is now fully supported for The Last of Us Part II Remastered using any RTX series graphics card. This upscaling will provide a more stable image, better anti-aliasing and less ghosting. You can toggle between these modes in-game using the Display menu’s newly added Upscale Preset option.
The update also adds frame generation for NVIDIA RTX 50-series graphics cards with their Multi Frame Generation technology, along with improved AMD FSR Frame Generation for other gamers. The full official patch notes ends with a comment that both Nixxes and Naughty Dog are both monitoring player feedback on game performance and stability, so we’ll likely see more updates coming soon to fix up any lingering issues.

You can read the full patch notes for yourself over on Steam, which also covers a lot of bugs including graphics flickering, camera clipping, DualSense rumble issues and other graphical and gameplay issues. The launch of The Last of Us Part II Remastered is one that the experts over at Digital Foundry found to be “disappointing”, but still a considerable upgrade on the mess that was The Last of Us Part I Remastered‘s PC release back in 2022.
