NieR Replicant’s Extra Content Revealed By Square Enix

Square Enix has revealed all the extra content that will be included with NieR Replicant, the upcoming remaster of the 2010 game of the same name. Previously only released in Japan, this version not only brings the game to modern hardware, but also revises the original’s combat system and is set to include both cut and brand new story content. The newest trailer for the game gives fans a good look at all the extras that they’ll experience with this game.

Firstly, the 15 Nightmares dungeons, which were released as DLC for the original game, will now be included with the main game. There are also some cosmetic options available to players, with additional costumes like the “Kabuki” or “Samurai” outfits to try, as well as costumes and weapons from NieR: Automata, the popular sequel to the original NieR game. Additionally, players will have access to a guest cast and soundtrack from Automata.

However, the biggest reveal in this trailer might be the Mermaid extra episode, which is set to add brand new story content to the plot of the original game. While the trailer reveals fairly little about what will actually be included in this episode, it seems like the setting will primarily be a shipwreck. There will also be some varied gameplay styles, with the trailer showing off some side-scrolling sections alongside a huge boss battle. With only a few days until the game releases on April 21, fans won’t have to wait long to find out what surprises await them.

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Windows.
