No More Heroes 3 (And 1, And 2) Coming to Nintendo Switch

After years of waiting, it’s finally here! No More Heroes 3, the latest installment in the story of top assassin Travis Touchdown, is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2021. The game was revealed during Nintendo’s Mini Partner Showcase virtual event on October 28.

Although an official release date has not yet been announced, the game is expected to arrive within the next several months. It is the first main series No More Heroes title to be released since 2010, and the first main series title to debut on the Switch. It will receive both a physical and digital release.

No More Heroes 3 sees Travis returning to his hometown of Santa Destroy after years spent in self-imposed exile. While gameplay will still center around a series of one-on-one battles, the plot has changed significantly from previous entries in the series. Instead of fighting assassins for rank and money, Travis will be forced to defend his hometown against a number of powerful alien heroes from throughout the galaxy.

Voice actors Robin Atkin Downes (Kingdom Hearts, Uncharted) and Paula Tiso (Final Fantasy X, Fire Emblem Fates) have been confirmed to return as Travis and his love interest Sylvia Christel respectively. Other returning characters include fan favorite assassin Kimmy Howell and recurring boss Destroyman.

However, No More Heroes 3 was far from the only reveal regarding the franchise. The Mini Direct also featured an announcement that the series’ other main titles, No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, both of which were originally released for the Nintendo Wii, are also coming to the Switch hybrid console. Both games are available now, and can be downloaded via the Nintendo Switch eShop. Spin-off title Travis Strikes Back, which was released in 2019, is already available for the Switch.
