If you take the time to chat with her, she will tell you of her struggles with her parents and how they are not getting along. It is possible that this animosity is due to the fact that he is not her true father, and she desires nothing more than for them to become reunited. Are you going to help her?
Before setting out to look for the girl’s mother and stepfather, make sure to add the following travelers to your party: Agnea, Partitio, Temenos, and Ochette. Note that some of these NPCs are capable of bringing other characters along with them. Choosing these travelers wisely will give you the best chance of success.
To finish this quest, you’ll need to meet with the Girl’s Stepfather outside of the Dancer’s Guild. Talk with him to learn that he loves his family, but is struggling in his relationship with his wife. You’ll have to use your best persuasive tactics to persuade him to join your party – whether it be Guiding him, Alluring him, Hiring him, or Befriending him.
Next, you’ll need to find the mother of the little girl. She’s located near the town exit. Through conversation, she will explain her grievances with her husband who just talks about money and never spends time with her. You can use a Path Action to Guide, Allure, Hire, or Befriend to take her with you. Remember to use a different Path Action than you used on the father, as you need both characters with you at once.
Return to the Brooding Girl and interact with her to trigger a dialogue. Ultimately, you will be rewarded with 5000 Leaves and a Charm of Compassion upon completion of this quest. This emotional cutscene marks the end of the task.
