How to Complete the Treasures of Ku Side Story in Octopath Traveler 2
To begin this quest, you must journey to Ku, Hikari’s hometown in the Hinoenuma region, and make your way inside the Castle. Once there, enter the left-hand building from the Castle Ku: Entrance, where you will encounter the Treasurer NPC. Upon interacting with him, he reveals that four of Ku’s treasures are missing, and only two have been recovered; it is up to you to uncover the whereabouts of the remaining two treasures.
The Dragon Vase and Phoenix Fan are the two long-lost treasures that you must reclaim. Reclaiming the Dragon Vase treasure requires visiting the town of Canalbrine in the Harborlands and locating the Suspicious Peddler near the dock. Once found, interact with him to choose from two Path Actions: Steal (Throne) or Mug (Osvald). Whichever action you decide will lead you to reclaim the Dragon Vase treasure from him.
Reclaiming the Phoenix Fan treasure requires visiting the Crackridge Harbor Anchorage in the Wildlands. Upon arrival, you’ll find a Suspicious Man near the dock who possesses the fan. You can either choose to Purchase it from him for 90,000 leaves (using Partitio) or Steal it (using Throne).
Once you’ve located and collected both of the lost treasures, return to Castle Ku and give them to the Treasurer. As a reward for your efforts in reclaiming these items, the Treasurer will present you with a weapon called the Staff of Carnage.
