A page dedicated to PC games has appeared on the PlayStation website. As reported by Eurogamer, the page lists a wealth of must-have PlayStation Studios games, with links to buy them on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The available titles include a number of previous console-only exclusives. Most notably, 2018’s God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, Predator Hunting Grounds, and Helldivers from Arrowhead Game Studio, the team behind Magicka and The Showdown Effect.
Under a separate tab for upcoming games are Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, launching tomorrow, the shorter yet superb follow-up Spider-Man: Miles Morales (Autumn 2022), and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. The latter title includes the remastered editions of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and the Chloe Frazer standalone Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. In contrast to the Spider-Man titles, PlayStation has yet to confirm a release date for the Uncharted collection PC port. In June, GameLuster reported that the collection had been rated in Korea.
Intriguingly, one Naughty Dog title exclusive to the PlayStation is absent from the list: the PC version for The Last Of Us Part 1. The PS5 remake of the 2013 hit is scheduled for release on September 2. A developer with the studio recently confirmed that the PC port would be released “soon after the PS5 release.”
PlayStation recently announced that by 2025, up to 50% of its releases would be on PC and mobile. SIE President Jim Ryan explained that it would give the company an “opportunity to move from a situation of being present in a very narrow segment of the overall gaming software market, to being present pretty much everywhere.”
Ryan added that the move would lead to “significant growth in the number of people who play our games, the number of people who enjoy our games, and the number of people who spend money on our games.”
