It feels like we only just started our vacation under the Alolan sun in the last Pokémon TCG Pocket expansion, but it’s already time for the next set! The Extradimensional Crisis expansion will add Ultra Beast Pokémon along with their new gameplay mechanics. Launching on May 29, the Extradimensional Crisis set is bringing other new Alolan Pokémon, trainers, and of course plenty of new full art illustration cards.
Along with a new set of cards which have been teased in the reveal trailer, there are also three new confirmed events coming up through June to celebrate Alola and its Pokémon. There’s an Ultra Necrozma ex drop event coming first, available between June 4 – 14, followed by a Poipole and Stufful Wonder Pick event from June 12 – 22, and an Ultra Beast mass outbreak ending the month between June 23 – 29.

A new set release is always a good thing for collectors not just for all the new cards they come with, but also because that makes the past set eligible for trading. As such, from May 29 you’ll be able to make trades with all your Celestial Guardians duplicate cards and hopefully get a little closer to completing your Alola card Pokédex. The release of Extradimensional Crisis likely marks our last Alolan adventure set for a while before the next expansion switches up the vibe yet again, and we can’t wait to see where Pokémon TCG Pocket takes us next.
