PS Plus April 2023: Monthly Games Available To Download Now

It’s time to turn on your PS5 or PS4 to add another trio of titles to your ever-expanding digital library thanks to PS Plus. That being said, this month’s PS Plus offerings are pretty decent (If I do say so myself) and one of those great months where every game is available for both PS4 and PS5.

First up is the BAFTA-winning PS5 launch title Sackboy: A Big Adventure.

This frantic co-op multiplayer platformer sees the adorable hemp dickens burst back into action in his first adventure since 2014’s Little Big Planet 3. Take part in an epic race against time stuffed with danger and peril or enjoy local or online play,  working together in teams of up to four players to overcome a plethora of devious traps and nefarious tasks, including (urgh) co-op-only levels.

Next up is post-apocalyptic building-and-raiding game, Meet Your Maker.

In this first-person asymmetric multiplayer adventure, you can either construct devious outposts filled with traps and guards or get tooled up and go and raid other players’ creations in methodical fast-paced combat using one of three load-outs: melee, ranged and defensive. Go it alone like a robotic ninja in the night or bring a friend along with you on the heist, or work together to build and defend your own impenetrable outposts.

Finally, there’s Odd Bug Studios’ charming-yet -brutal hand-drawn action RPG Tails of Iron.

Set in a grim land plagued by war, Tails of Iron is essentially what would happen if Kenneth Grahame had written The Wind in the Willows after having a massive nervous breakdown.

Players take on the role of Redgi, heir to the Rat Throne, on a quest to restore his broken Kingdom by banishing the merciless Frog Clan and their ferocious leader, Greenwart. As Redji explores the charming yet threatening world, he encounters a cast of unique companions ready to aid him in his adventure. Redgi is going to need all the help he can get, whether that’s new meal recipes to keep his health up, resources and blueprints to forge better weapons and armour, including the devastating, land-launching, armour-plated mole mobile.

What do you think of this month’s line-up? Will you be building outposts in Meet Your Maker, or racing to the finish with Sackboy, or fighting for the throne in Tails of Iron? Sound off in the comments below
