We don’t judge Leon Kennedy for helping himself to all the gems, jewels, and antique treasures he happens to find during Resident Evil 4 Remake. After all, it isn’t like the people there are going to use them, right? Technically neither is Leon, but he can at least sell them to the Merchant for some actually useful items such as guns.
Just like in the original version of Resident Evil 4, some treasures can be made more valuable if you combine them with other precious items. The amount of value they gain varies depending on how you combine them, and only the best treasure, combined with just the right things, can earn you the title of an Astute Appraiser. How To Complete The Astute Appraiser Challenge In Resident Evil 4 Remake
The Astute Appraiser Challenge can only be completed if you manage to sell a single treasure for a whopping 100,000 Pesetas or more. This might seem impossible, but there is a way!
The only treasure that can possibly reach this insane value is the Elegant Crown, of which there are three we’ve found in the game: one in Chapter 9, a second in Chapter 10, and the last in Chapter 13.
This treasure can house five gems in it, which is the most of any treasure. But hold on! Just shoving any five gems into it won’t give it enough value. You need to get the Duo and Trio value bonuses for slotting in two gems of one color, and three of another. Alternatively, you could put a different colored gem in each slot to reach the threshold as well.
Between the gems themselves, plus the bonus you get for having the Duo and Trio bonus multipliers, you increase the Elegant Crown’s base value from 19,000 Pesetas to a cool 108,000 Pesetas. Leon might want to consider a new line of work if he’s making that much from collecting and selling old relics!
