Resident Evil 4 Remake: How to Get Exclusive Upgrades

Resident Evil 4 Remake offers various types of weapons that players can obtain during their playthrough, such as the LE 5 and the Rocket Launcher. Most of them can be upgraded by talking to the Merchant who will increase the lethality of your firearms. Of course, he will not do this for free, and you will have to pay using Pesetas that you acquire from selling treasures you have discovered.

Although increasing the Rate of Fire and the Reload Speed of weapons is great, there is one enhancement that you can buy to make your weapons even more deadly. If you are curious about how you can get Exclusive Upgrades in the game, this guide can answer that question for you.

Unlocking Exclusive Upgrades in Resident Evil 4 Remake

You can get Exclusive Upgrades in Resident Evil 4 Remake by either fully upgrading the weapon or purchasing the Exclusive Upgrade Tickets from the Merchant. The first method requires you to buy every enhancement available for your chosen gun before unlocking the Exclusive Upgrade.

The final enhancement will cost around 60,000 to 100,000 Pesetas. Although it seems expensive, it is worth the money since the upgrade will either reduce the weakness of your firearm or strengthen its power.

Resident Evil 4 Remake Exclusive Upgrade Ticket

If you use Tickets, you do not need to enhance your gun fully and can immediately buy the Exclusive Upgrade. Unfortunately, you cannot purchase these Tickets with Pesetas and can only trade for them using Spinels, which you can get by accepting various side quests in the game. For example, you can obtain four Spinels by completing the “Catch Me a Big Fish” Request, where Leon is tasked to catch and sell the Lunker Bass to the Merchant. You can also earn Spinels by shooting down the Blue Medallions, also at the Merchant’s Request.

There are two Tickets available for trade, and they are not cheap. The first one costs 30 Spinels while the second is priced at 40. Considering that most side quests only give you between two and five Spinels, you will have to save a lot and not purchase other great items from the Merchant.

If you have a Ticket but have already fully upgraded the weapon, the game will allow you to choose to purchase the final enhancement with Pesetas or the Ticket. Generally, using the first method is better since your gun will be more powerful with each upgrade. You can also gain Pesetas more easily than Spinels, which are restricted by the number of available Requests.

That is everything you need to know about Exclusive Upgrades in Resident Evil 4 Remake. Before leaving, be sure to check out other guides for this game, such as how to get infinite ammo.
