While not quite as bad as a sliding puzzle, rotating puzzles are up there with the worst of them when it comes to frustrating puzzles in video games. Thankfully, Resident Evil 4 Remake doesn’t have too many, but the Stone Pedestal puzzle makes up for the lack of quantity in quality (or lack thereof). Not only do you spend two chapters getting the necessary pieces, but your “reward” is this annoying puzzle.
Once you’ve gotten all the hexagonal pieces and slotted them in, the real task begins. Thankfully, there is a simple way to solve it so you can get on with your adventure to save the president’s daughter. Here’s a quick and easy way to solve the Stone Pedestal puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake.
How to Solve the Stone Pedestal Puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake
Once you’ve inserted all the pieces into the stone pedestal, you will realize that the image they are meant to make is all jumbled up. Of course, it would be too simple to simply spin each hexagon individually to create the picture, so instead the game forces you to move them in sections of three: the center piece and bottom left two, center and top two, or center and bottom right two. While you could try spinning them at random and hope for the best, the solution actually only requires two correct moves, which are:
- Spin the center and bottom left two hexagons once counterclockwise.
- Spin the center and top section once counterclockwise.
This will complete the image and unlock the door ahead, granting you the Depraved Idol, which is very valuable when sold to the Merchant.
That’s all it takes to solve one of Resident Evil 4 Remake‘s most potentially frustrating puzzles. What do you think, was this puzzle the hardest you’ve encountered? What about the Small Cave Shrine and Large Cave Shrine puzzles? Let us know where you got stuck in the comments below.
