Save Metropolis With DC Super Hero Girls: Teen Power for Switch

Team up with teen versions of DC Comics’ most iconic lady superheroes and supervillains in this brand new title for the Nintendo Switch, officially announced during last night’s Nintendo Direct event.

The game is inspired by the animated TV series DC Super Hero Girls, which began as a web show in 2015 before launching on Cartoon Network in 2019. As in the show, the game will feature teen heroes and villains attending Metropolis High School in the bustling city of Metropolis.

Players will be able to choose between three characters, each with unique abilities. Wonder Woman wields her Lasso of Truth, Supergirl possesses the powers of flight, super strength and even heat vision, and sneaky Batgirl uses her inventive gadgets in battle. They’ll face off against familiar villainous faces including Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Star Sapphire, and many, many more.

But Teen Power won’t just be about fighting evil and saving the city of Metropolis. After all, these girls aren’t just superheroes – they’re students, too! Combat elements will be balanced with daily life segments which sees the characters hanging out at key spots such as the high school itself or the Sweet Justice store. The characters will be able to interact with their friends, go shopping, and take photos to upload to their social media in order to gain more followers – but they’ve got to be careful! If their secret identities get found out by the villains – or their teachers – they could wind up in quite a lot of trouble!

DC Super Hero Girls: Teen Power will launch for the Nintendo Switch on June 4, 2021. It is available for pre-order now via the official Nintendo Web site.
