Outbreak Is Coming As Part Of Black Ops Cold War Season 2

The long-anticipated Outbreak Mode is officially coming to Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, according to a gameplay trailer for Season 2. Following days of leaks and speculation, as well as clues hidden in Warzone itself, this latest content update delivers big, judging by the teaser.

So let’s dissect what the update has to offer. Firstly, zombies, and it appears that all hell is about to break loose in the form of flesh-eating armies.

Outbreak has been described as “an entirely new, large-scale Zombies experience”, which “takes the agents of Requiem deep into the heart of Russia, where they’ll fight to survive their greatest challenges yet.”

The timing of the announcement is curious, following a leak earlier today on the Call of Duty website, apparently confirming the news now made official.

More information about Outbreak is expected in the coming days. The new season will add four new operators and multiplayer maps and game modes, prestige levels, and six additional weapons.

Then there’s also the matter out at sea, as the Russian ship Vodianoy draws in menacingly toward the island of Verdansk. Recent fan theories suggest that the vessel is smuggling Nova 6 from Rebirth Island to Verdansk, and yesterday’s cinematic trailer for Season 2 further confirmed that the Nova 6 supply lines have been employed as a ruse, imaginably to hide a far more deadly agenda.

A rolling update for Black Ops Cold War is due on February 23 between 9PM and 11PM PT, while Warzone will receive an update on February 24 between 9PM and 11PM PT.
