Screenshot Saturday – February 20th

Indie game developers share their work progress every week on Twitter with the #ScreenshotSaturday hashtag. In this piece, we take a look at the most interesting and eye-catching screenshots or short videos of indie games shared on Saturday, February 20.

GameLuster has a Screenshot Saturday round-up every week. You can check out last week’s list here!

Project Kato

The developers of Project Kato (@__ImagineDreams) shared this amazing video in this tweet. The video showcases a lot of animations and mechanics of this upcoming game in a simple environment, and it looks exciting. The fast paced gameplay and the credit to this wonderful hashtag that we follow every week, was more than enough for us to mention this project in this week’s round up!

Ziggy’s Cosmic Adventures

I haven’t played many VR games, but I can certainly say this was the best looking VR game I have ever seen! The developers of Ziggy’s Cosmic Adventure (@StardustDevs) shared this trailer in this tweet, and it looks fantastic. The game looks fun, action packed, and a perfect experience for VR. We are looking forward to see more of this wonderful game!

Island of the Lost

The indie developer @James_Smart5 shared these tweets of Island of the Lost in this tweet, showcasing the art style and world design of their game, as well as sharing a secret treasure room behind the waterfall. The low-poly art style looks really good, and the overall atmosphere hints at a fun adventure game. We can’t wait to see what the skeleton behind the waterfall has to offer!

An Efficient GIF!

This quick look at this untitled game was shared by @Spideypeanut in this tweet. The game looks beautiful, and honestly I was impressed by how much content was featured in this short gif. We see different enemies, backgrounds and animations in just a few seconds, and it was more than enough to get us interested in this project! We are hoping to see more of this game in the following weeks.

Pigeon Simulator

Remember Goat Simulator? Well, this hilarious video from Pigeon Simulator (@ThePigeonSim) was shared in this tweet, and wreaking havoc on a city as a pigeon is just as weird, unique, and stupidly fun as doing it as a goat, and goats can’t even fly (usually!). We can’t wait for the chaos that is gonna be ensued in this game!
