Star Wards Jedi: Survivor Has Been Delayed Until April 28

Today, EA and Respawn Entertainment have confirmed that their upcoming title, Star Wards Jedi: Survivor, will now have an April 28 release date. Although fans are disappointed in this delay, the creators have said they want to “achieve the level of polish our fans deserve.” This news comes after Survivor was set for release on March 17, giving it a delay of six additional weeks.

The statement released by the EA Star Wars Twitter account says, “the Jedi team here at Respawn has poured its collective heart and soul into Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and we are proud to say the next chapter in the tale of Cal Kestis is content complete. We are now focused entirely on the final stage: bug fixes to enhance performance, stability, polish and most importantly, the player experience.” Although the delay is a shame for eager fans, it should be worth it to have a smooth experience when you step back into the worlds of Star Wars

It breaks our hearts to wait an extra six weeks to see BD-1 again.

The post goes on to reassure fans by saying this title is a direct response to the feedback they received for its predecessor, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which was released back in 2019. They promise “expansive destinations to explore, evolved combat and traversal” as well as a continuation of Cal’s journey. They thank fans for their patience in the delay before signing off with a classic “may the Force be with you.”

It has been an eventful day for Respawn after they also announced they will be shutting down Apex Legends on mobile which will no longer be playable after May 1. Additionally, EA has also revealed they will be putting a stop to the development of a mobile version of Battlefield. Despite cancellations and delays, both companies have assured fans that they are putting their time and effort into their current and future releases.
