Starfield Could Be Heading To PlayStation After Logo Found On Modding Website

Bethesda’s divisive Starfield launched as an Xbox exclusive back in 2023, but as Microsoft has been shifting away from the exclusivity business we’ve been eagerly awaiting a PlayStation release announcement. That may be coming sooner than we thought, as the PlayStation logo has been spotted on the official Bethesda modding site Starfield Creations. The page was quickly removed, but the internet doesn’t forget – so credit to those who spotted the slip-up such as 510deshawn over on YouTube and those who noticed on Reddit too.

It was left up long enough for there to be many different screenshots taken and shared on social media, and the removal seems to suggest perhaps Bethesda had something to hide. It’s interesting the PlayStation logo only appeared on one mod out of many; current theories suggest maybe this user is a beta tester, or perhaps Bethesda pressed a button too early.

The Starfield universe may get a little bigger if PlayStation fans get to join the journey.

If PlayStation mod support is already in place, we can’t imagine it’ll take too long until Bethesda’s space-faring RPG finds its way onto Sony systems. We really enjoyed Starfield despite its flaws, but with a mixed 58% positive review score over on Steam, it’s clear that it’s not for everyone. Maybe the game will find a bigger audience on PlayStation, which could launch with its rumored next ‘Starborn’ expansion. This is purely speculative at this point, but the logo appearing on the site is pretty undeniable that there’s something here!
