Stellar Blade Demo Releasing Later This Week

If you’ve been waiting for a chance to play the upcoming Stellar Blade, you’re in luck! A full demo of Shift Up’s PS5 exclusive action game will be released March 29 (this Friday), ahead of the game’s April 26 full release. The demo was announced over on the PlayStation Blog, in a post written by Hyung Tae Kim, Stellar Blade‘s game director. He confirms the demo will cover the very start of the game, and those who complete the demo will be able to transfer their save data to the final release of the game next month.

If you’re not familiar with the game yet, Stellar Blade is a third-person high action game, featuring a fierce female protagonist akin to the Bayonetta franchise. Perhaps unlike Bayonetta though, the game is set to offer more exploration, with side quests, health restoration checkpoints (that respawns enemies when used), and extra unlockable costumes. Wearing whichever outfit you choose, you’ll be fighting to reclaim humanity’s home while taking out the Naytiba, an alien race set on dominating the planet.

We’ve known the demo was coming for a while after it leaked early, but this time it’s official. If Stellar Blade sounds like something you’d be interested in, the demo will drop at 7AM PT / 10AM PT / 2PM GMT / 3PM CEST this Friday, with a bunch of voice over and subtitle language options.
