Sakurai has taken to Miiverse to deliver the latest picture of the day and the following message:
Pic of the day. An insatiable, unidentified extraterrestrial is targeting a certain peaceful town…!
The Metroid is preparing to cause destruction and harm to the peaceful Animal Crossing town, how could it do such a thing, oh wait it is because it doesn’t care it just wants to steal life forces from people. It seems even places of peace and tranquillity are not safe from this terrifying race of creatures, but wait the Smash Brothers fighters will have to save the day. Most likely this is an assist trophy that is set to wreak the same manner of destruction from its appearance in Brawl, if you never played Brawl the Metroids were a useful assist dealing damage to your enemies, they latched onto their head and then slowly delivered damage until they went to seek out there next prey. It was always best to be on the controlling side of these creatures. I can’t think of a better way to let us know that the Metroid is an assist trophy as it does show off a sense of danger in the shadow of peace so I say good job Sakurai what a great picture of the day. One final thing to say, the Metroid looks absolutely incredible and well designed in its detail, I really love it.
