The Fantastic Four Arrive In Fortnite On July 25

The first family of the Marvel universe is heading to Fortnite, as Epic Games just announced that the Fantastic Four will be joining the battle royale later this week. On July 25, players will be able to purchase outfits based on the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe interpretation of the Fantastic Four, including Pedro Pascal’s Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s The Thing and Joseph Quinn’s Johnny Storm.

Other cosmetics will also be available, such as a Psionic Orbs Pickaxe for Sue Storm, or the stretchy Fantastic Fists Pickaxe for Reed Richards, along with an emote of him doing the science-y stuff he does best. As we mentioned at the start, the skins look a lot like their actor counterparts in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which releases in theatres on the same day as the Fortnite collaboration.

Fortnite Fantastic Four cup rewards
A special Fantastic Four Cup competition for squads will also grant free cosmetic rewards on July 23.

Epic has a long history with Marvel, from entire Fortnite seasons dedicated to the comic book universe, to Disney investing huge chunks of money into the company with plans to expand the digital metaverse offerings of their IP, including Marvel. The Fantastic Four fill a gap in the roster, as we’ve had representation from all areas in the Marvel universe including Spider-Man, the Avengers and even the X-Men – just never the first family! They’re here now though, and we’re looking forward to trying them out in-game.
