Capcom has announced that it will be releasing both The Great Ace Attorney and its sequel in the in all countries for the first time, with both games previously only available in Japan. The games will be bundled together into one collection, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, which will release on July 27, 2021. These two entires in the series act as prequels to the main story of the Ace Attorney Trilogy, taking place in the Victorian era and featuring an ancestor of Phoenix Wright named Ryunosuke Naruhodo. Players will be able to battle through ten court cases across the two games alongside figures like Herlock Sholmes (not a typo, we promise) and more.
However, this new collection is more than a port of the original 3DS titles, as it includes brand new extra content. Escapades are a brand new addition to both games, and act as short adventures to add a little more to the Victorian world of The Great Ace Attorney. Players will also have three extra costumes to enjoy, as well as extra art galleries with commentary from the art director, bonus music clips and videos, and the ability to choose between Japanese or English audio.
Also, fans will now have the option to choose to play the game in Story Mode, which automatically progresses the game. With this mode, you can enjoy the narrative of each court case as a spectator rather than participant, removing the stress from the game.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles will be available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam).
