The Last Of Us Fans Pick Their Abby For HBO Season 2

In less than a week since the first episode of HBO’s adaptation of The Last Of Us debuted, fans are already making their predictions for who could be cast in other roles. There’s a new favorite for Abby, should a second season of The Last Of Us receive the green light. For many fans of the franchise, they’re looking no further than Shannon Berry, best known for their role in The Wilds, which ran for two seasons on Amazon Prime Video before its cancellation in July 2022.

It has to be said that Berry does bear an uncanny resemblance to Abby Anderson, and more intriguingly, Berry is followed on social media by Neil Druckmann, the game creator and the adaptation’s co-creator. In response, Berry said she had become aware of the online speculation and said fans were “kind of right” about the similarities in their appearances.

There has been no official word on whether the first season will introduce storylines from the second game or if there’ll even be a Season 2. The premiere episode of The Last Of Us, which debuted January 15, pulled in more than 10 million viewers in the first two nights. Taking just two nights for the show to catch up with the premiere rating of the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon, chances are this won’t be the end of HBO’s The Last of Us.

Away from the television series, Laura Bailey, who provided voice and motion capture for Abby, said she “would 100%” return to the role should Naughty Dog decide to make The Last Of Us Part III. For more The Last Of Us content, check out FlickLuster’s review for the first episode to the series.
