Two New Annapurna Interactive Titles Coming to Switch

Annapurna Interactive, the company behind such beloved indie titles as What Remains of Edith Finch, Kentucky Route Zero, and The Pathless, announced not one but TWO of their upcoming titles will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Switch versions of Last Stop and Hindsight were announced as part of today’s Nintendo Indie World Showcase video presentation.

Last Stop, developed by Variable State, is an anthology series which tells three different but inter-connected stories. It chronicles the lives of Donna, John and Meena, three London residents whose lives become intertwined when they are involved in a supernatural crisis. It is a narrative adventure game told in a third-person perspective, and features elements of both the mystical and the real.

Last Stop, which features a soundtrack by BAFTA winner Lyndon Holland, will be releasing for the Nintendo Switch in July 2021. A future PC release via Steam is also planned.

Hindsight, which was officially announced today during the Showcase, is an upcoming narrative exploration title from Prune developer Joel McDonald, alongside previous collaborators Emma Kidwell and Kyle Preston. It explores the entirety of a woman’s life from birth to adulthood as she explores her childhood home and recovers personal belongings and the memories contained within them. Featuring a colorful minimalist art style, Hindsight focuses on themes including accepting and letting go of the past and honoring memories while still moving forward into the future.

It does not have an official release date, but is currently scheduled to debut some time in 2021 – presumably some time after Last Stop. In addition to the Switch, Hindsight will also release for PC via Steam and iOS devices.

Annapurna has many other exciting titles on the schedule for 2021 and beyond. In addition to Last Stop and Hindsight, keep an eye out for 12 Minutes, Solar Ash, Neon White, and more.
