Weep For Our Consoles – Warzone 2.0’s File Size Could Be Big

If the information is correct, Call of Duty Warzone 2.0’s file size will occupy a substantial 115GB of space on hard drives. The report comes courtesy of a tweet from Warzone 2 Informer, seen further below, which suggests that hard drives will need to surrender a staggering 115.62GB of storage space to make way for Warzone 2.0.

Before we begin to weep for our poor consoles, it’s worth noting that this report from Warzone 2 Informer has not been verified by Infinity Ward – so pinch of salt and all that. Let’s hope for a smaller number that’ll be kinder on our storage.

Until we hear an announcement from the developers, there is every chance we could get a different number from them. In response to the rumour, the Call of Duty community has taken to Twitter to share memes and consider their options on how their consoles can handle such a potentially monstrous file size.

“Rip my SSD” says one Twitter user, Moozie03. “Oh well time to delete Warzone” says another user, MrCheese445. According to this writer’s own console, the original Warzone occupies an extensive 219.5GB of storage space on the Playstation 5. Before updates, then, the sequel’s file size is likely going to be pretty big.

Are you excited for the next installment in Warzone on November 16, and will you be playing it? Or is this potentially massive file size a deal breaker? Let us know in the comments below!
