Watch Dogs has to be one of the most highly anticipated games of the year, similarly to being one of last years most anticipated games before it was delayed. A few weeks ago Ubisoft gave us official confirmation that we would be seeing Watchdogs hit last generation and current generation consoles on May 27, this all meant we would see a release on the Playstations 3 and 4 as well as the PC and Xbox 360 and One. But wait there was something wrong with this picture what about the Wii U version we know it was coming but it wasn’t announced for release on the day. So what happened to it Ubisoft said they delayed the game on the console so that they could focus more heavily on the version for the other consoles. For Wii U players our only relief was that we knew that Ubisoft was trying it’s hardest to make good use of the Wii U’s Gamepad which if done right could be the games standout for the console.
On Ubisoft’s website a brief release window has been given for the Wii U game giving a vague Fall 2014 release date. This isn’t much in the way of knowledge but a least it is nice to know when I might get my chance to play this game. Also I am hoping the game is good and people will be willing to have a double dip of this game and try the Wii U version. Personally though I am hoping for some exclusive features or content to make up for the delay, though I can only hope.
