In Wild Hearts, every time you get into a battle, the thin line between victory and defeat is decided based on your equipment and level of preparedness. To craft some of the best equipment available in the game, you you’re going to need rare materials like Large Scales. They are hard to come by and often drop after you fulfil certain prerequisites.

How To Get Large Scales in Wild Hearts
Since Large Scales are locked behind game progression, you must complete chapters 2 and 3 of the main game storyline to unlock it. Once you do that, you must defeat certain Kemonos, mainly Springwatch Monitor and Sparkshower Monitor, to obtain the said material.
Now you maybe wondering, “where do these Kemonos spawn?” Well, There is no need to worry, as we have the answer to this question.
You can find Springwatch Monitor and Sparkshower Monitor in some of the central areas of Azuma. Those are Harugasumi Way, Akikure Canyon, and Natsukodachi Isle. To pinpoint the Kemonos locations, open the in-game map, filter Kemonos in your search bar, and set it to Small Kemonos. Filtering location will mark every Small Kemono spawn, making farming much easier.
Once you reach any of the marked locations, identify and defeat the Springwatch Monitor or the Sparkshower Monitor to obtain Large Scale. Luckily, defeating these creatures will not take much time, as they do not have a high HP pool.
Use heavy attacks and combos to take out the said Kemonos with just a few hits. Also, keep in mind while they are not hostile at the beginning, attacking them will make them hostile. So either quickly finish them or be ready to tank or dodge a few attacks.
